MOVING INFORMATION

Moving Information & Consumer Documents

This page provides general information to help customers prepare for their move. Customer-specific documents, amounts, protection choices, and signatures are completed separately by the carrier.

Moving Day Overview

Your crew arrives within a scheduled arrival window rather than at an exact guaranteed time. Billable time begins when the crew arrives at the pickup location and is ready to begin the scheduled moving service, and is billed in 15-minute increments through loading, transportation, and unloading.

What AVRAMOVING Includes

A typical AVRAMOVING move includes:

  • Professional movers and a moving truck
  • Moving blankets and standard furniture protection
  • Tape and basic furniture wrapping
  • Use of wardrobe boxes during the move
  • Basic furniture disassembly and reassembly, when needed
  • Loading, transportation, and unloading

The exact crew size, truck count, and any additional requested services are confirmed for your specific booking in your Booking Confirmation.

Pricing and Billing

In general:

  • Billing begins when the crew arrives at the pickup location and is ready to begin the scheduled moving service
  • Time is billed in 15-minute increments
  • Cash payments use the cash hourly rate
  • Non-cash and electronic payments — including credit cards, debit cards, Zelle, Apple Pay, digital wallets, and electronic bank payments — use an hourly rate that is $20 higher. This is a separately disclosed hourly rate based on the selected payment method, not a processing fee or percentage-based surcharge.
  • Applicable double drive time may affect the final bill
  • Customer-purchased packing materials, such as boxes or protective blankets, are charged separately
  • Changes to the confirmed scope of the move will be discussed with you before the additional work is performed

Double Drive

Double drive time refers to additional drive time that may be billed when the distance and route between your pickup and delivery locations require it under California household goods moving rules. Whether double drive applies to your move is confirmed in your Booking Confirmation and will be reflected in your final moving documents.

Boxes and Moving Protection

Reusable moving blankets, standard furniture protection, tape used for furniture protection, basic furniture wrapping, and temporary wardrobe-box use are included.

Materials purchased and kept by the customer, such as boxes or protective blankets, are charged separately.

Customer-Packed Items (PBO)

PBO means “Packed by Owner.” You are responsible for properly packing and protecting items inside closed boxes.

Our crew will handle your boxes carefully during the move, but cannot inspect the contents or verify how fragile items were packed.

Damage caused by insufficient or improper customer packing is the customer’s responsibility. Please tell us before the move about fragile, high-value, or delicate items.

Loss and Damage Protection Options

Before moving services begin, the carrier will explain the available loss-and-damage protection options. You will choose one option, and your selection will be recorded in your Agreement for Moving Services.

  • Basic Protection — Provides protection at $0.60 per pound per article and is included at no additional charge.
  • Actual Cash Value— Provides protection based on the item’s actual value at the time of loss or damage, subject to the declared value, rates, and terms shown in your Agreement.
  • Full Value Protection — Provides enhanced protection subject to the declared value, applicable deductible, rates, and terms shown in your Agreement.

This page does not ask you to select a protection option. For the official description of these options, see the Open California Moving Booklet PDF . The charge for each option is set out in our valuation tariff.
